Meet Jianne. With her father working far away and her mother battling health issues, as the second of six siblings, Jianne was forced into the role of providing for her family at a young age. It is common for families to be separated by work, but this reality is especially challenging for children. Jianne had just completed her education when her mother tragically passed away. Jianne and her siblings were overwhelmed with grief. Their home felt so empty and sad without either parents.
Jianne vowed to stay strong for her siblings and thought the only path was to find a distant job like her father. As much as she did not want to go, she could not imagine an opportunity close to home that would keep food on the table. That was when she heard about working with Dignity and had hope that her path could look differently. Jianne fit in right away and found a role in the processing department. The pay was good and provided for the family while also being able to stay close to her siblings. This was more than she had dreamed. Jianne continues to work hard and learn new skills that are helping her grow personally and professionally.
