The coconut industry wants you to believe that cold-pressed coconut oil is the best oil on the market. When we started Dignity Made we planned on using that process too, but we found two problems.

Cold-pressed coconut oil has a strong coconut taste and smell. While this may work in some meals, it’s a weird taste in most. And if you make meals for others, a good portion of people don’t like coconut. In fact, many people switch to refined coconut oil because it has no taste or aroma.

Centrifuge extracted

We learned that the best olive oils in the world use a centrifuge method, so we tried it. Instead of using pressure and heat, a centrifuge spins the coconut cream to separate the oil from the milk. This gentle method gives the coconut oil a light coconut taste that goes unnoticed in meals. Unfortunately, this oil still needs to be dried, so companies use a vacuum dryer to boil out the moisture. Here at Dignity Made, we figured out how to get the moisture out without using any heat so you get a truly raw coconut oil with a light coconut taste and all of its original micronutrients and antibacterial properties.

Directly from nut to jar

Most coconut oils are made from moldy, bug-infested coconuts. To keep that oil safe to consume, they have to refine out all the gross stuff, bleach out the nasty yellow color, and deodorize the stink it using harsh chemicals. No thank you!

At Dignity, we believe so much in the benefits of this "tree of life" that we want to keep our oil as close to its original state as possible. There’s less than 12 hours from cracking open the coconut to sealing the lid. We are located in a pristine remote area, where our coconuts have always been free of pesticides and other harmful chemicals. Just to be sure, our farmers are trained and certified in Organic farming methods, helping them farm better and smarter.

Heating food can strip away natural and beneficial enzymes. In addition, processing can leave behind potentially harmful materials. We developed a
more pure coconut oil. Our centrifuge extracted process keeps the oil under 118ºF so you get all the benefits of these coconuts, including 4x more antioxidants than the average cold=pressed coconut oil.
