Meet Loriely. She works to send her children to school to break generational poverty. Loriely spends her days cooking, cleaning, and tending to her plants to care for her family. Outside of the home, she also found work as a housekeeper to use her skills to bring in extra income. Even with her husband working, it was not enough to provide for the family. Loriely enjoyed her job as a housekeeper, but the work was unstable and did not bring in a lot of money.
Loriely and her husband were not able to finish high school but they did not want their children to live the same, hard story. Determined to send their kids to school, she began to look for something else. Loriely found Dignity and knew that the job would be a good fit for her. She works in the production area and does coconut meat inspection, slicing, and washing. It brought together her enjoyment in gardening and cleaning in a purposeful way, and gave her family benefits too.
Loriely is beyond thankful her family can now live comfortably with their daily needs met. She continues to thrive at Dignity and sets a positive example for her children to follow.
