Meet Judy Ann. Coming from a farmer family with seven siblings meant there was rarely enough food on the table, but always plenty of love. Judy Ann’s family meant the world to her, and she wanted to do whatever she could to help support them. Despite the challenges, she worked hard in school so she could get a job.
At first, she found work at a convenience store in a nearby town. She hoped that the money she made would be enough to help with the family expenses. However, the job turned out to be unstable and she quickly began to miss her family terribly. The added expenses of the long commute ate away at the money she made. Judy Ann was working tirelessly and not seeing much benefit..
Then she heard about a role at Dignity that was close to home and consistent– exactly what she was looking for. On her first day on the job, she felt a change. She was able to support her parents and siblings without killing herself. What a dream come true!. Beyond making money to help with her family’s daily expenses she was also able to save up for herself. Judy Ann now has a new sense of pride, independence, and purpose to carry her through life.
