Eliases

Meet Eliases. When both his parents tragically passed away, Eliases and his siblings felt alone and overwhelmed having to navigate the world on their own. His older sister insisted that he continue his education to provide him with more opportunities. Eliases applied himself to studying, even as classes went remote during the pandemic. He used the flexibility of his schedule to find job opportunities to support his siblings and pursue his dreams.

That is when he heard about Dignity and applied to be a back-up pressing machine operator where his primary responsibility was to press ground coconut meat. Eliases says “I am learning a lot at Dignity because my job is related to the course I am taking.” He enjoys his role and loves seeing his family happy and thriving.

Despite facing hardship, Eliases remains hopeful and resilient as he looks ahead to the future. When he is not working or taking classes, he fills his time with hobbies like playing basketball, cooking, and listening to music. Eliases wishes to travel the world in his lifetime and continue to stay close to his community as he is grateful for their love and support.
