Cynthia

Cynthia always puts on a big smile. She’s the person that can cheer you up when you’re having a bad day.

She loves having a good time and singing karaoke with friends. Like every mom, she dreams of a good future for her children. She would always say “I hope for all my children to finish their studies and for them to be good.”

Behind that smile was pain and pressure. She would work long hours at the grocery store to provide for her family but it was never enough and added to the stress at home. With every passing day, she would find these problems get worse; and every day, Cynthia would get up, put on a brave smile, and head on to work. She would cling on to hope for her family to improve even though she didn’t know what she needed to change to .

When she started work at Dignity, she was first assigned to washing the jars. Later on, she was assigned to washing, slicing, and inspecting the coconut meat. She initially thought it would just be like her previous job with 12+ hour shifts, working non-stop leaving no time and energy for her family.

She was surprised to learn these were only 8-hour shifts. For the first time, she could provide for her family AND be a good mom! She decided to join the daily morning devotions before work and saw a change happening in her heart and God answering her prayers for her family.

Cynthia once shared, “I am happy that even with my family problems before, the Lord has guided us through. Somehow, my family is better now. My work with Dignity has been a big help until now.”

Now, Cynthia can smile with the biggest and most cheerful smile.
