Meet Analyn - a woman who has a passion to help women farmers and fills many different roles. When she is not busy being a mom of four, supporting her husband who serves as the village captain, and caring for their family livestock, she lives out her commitment to bettering the community. Analyn had a dream to help other women farmers in her community, which has now grown as she leads 4 different organizations. One of these is called Women Planters, which has 130 members across different areas and continues to have positive influence. In her words, Analyn says, “I try to manage my time, and although it's challenging, I'm happy because many people benefit from our sacrifices. Our aim is to share and help not just ourselves but our community as well.”
Growing up in a farmer family was challenging, and Analyn had to work very hard in order to provide. As she got married and started working for Dignity, Analyn’s family has been brought closer together. They have found a secure and stable environment in the midst of environmental and political turmoil. Her and her family have faced traumatic events due to being public servants and enduring natural disasters, but this does not deter them. In expressing the transformative effects of Dignity, Analyn shared,
“In the past, we worked in a distant place. When Dignity came into the picture and my husband got employed there, it made a difference in our income. I am grateful for having my husband nearby, especially during emergencies. And the support from Dignity when my husband became the captain, especially during the pandemic, was immense. I can't express enough gratitude, not only for my family but for the entire Cagmanaba community. Everyone in the community has truly benefited from Dignity.”
What stands out the most from Analyn’s story is her passion to help others, especially women and farmer families. She has a deep resolve to make a difference one step at a time, honoring those around her while also seeking peace. She continues to make her dreams a reality alongside Dignity, and she hopes to see her children finish school and receive their diplomas as a recognition of all the effort that has been invested. Analyn approaches life with open hands and is in step with the mission of Dignity– providing assistance without expectation.
