I am married with two children. I finished High School. I am good at planting and raising vegetables. I am also good at drawing and at playing basketball. When I am at home, I take care of my family and if I have time, I play basketball and tend to my garden.
My wife is Arlene. She has a small business that helps in our daily needs. My eldest son is in grade 5. My youngest son is only two years old. We are happy even if we have a simple life.
Before working at Dignity, I used to be a security guard, a machine operator, a carpenter and a painter in construction work. At Dignity, I am an organic farm inspector. We visit member farmers to make sure that the coconuts we buy from them are organic. We also keep a record to be able to track their harvest time and what activities they do in their farms. We also train them how to do organic farming and its importance to the environment and to health.
My hope for my family is for them to have a good life. I want my children to finish their studies, and that they grow up well and be useful. Most of all, I want them to be spiritual.
In my lifetime, I would like to know more about organic farming and be able to teach this to farmers who lack knowledge and ability to do organic farming.
The biggest challenge I went through was when my father, the head of our family passed away. It was he who held our family together and when he died, we lost all that he had saved and we became destitute. We even had to sell some of our properties like our boat. We overcame this challenge by helping each other in the family and by prayer and faith.
I am proud of my family. My wife is thoughtful and caring. My children are loving. They make me happy and proud.
Since working at Dignity, our life has improved and I am now able to give my family its needs. I was also able to buy two motorcycles. Aside from the financial improvement, my spiritual life also improved. I am also able to share with my family what I learn. I am so grateful to Dignity because of their trust and the job they gave me. Now I do not need to go to the city to work.
