We are excited to announce we are changing our name to DIGNITY MADE.
We started a coconut company to restore dignity to poor, vulnerable farmers who were being exploited by the coconut industry. Due to a lack of jobs and income in this region of the Philippines, locals were at-risk of human trafficking. To fight against this, we set up a business “Dignity Coconuts” to give the average consumer the opportunity to use their groceries for good. As we received awards and raving reviews for our Raw Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, our customers begged us to make other high-quality, sustainable, and non-toxic products.
As we’ve grown, our product catalog has expanded beyond coconut products. Although our Vegan Lip Balms are made with our raw coconut oil or our Body Dry Brushes are bundled with our raw coconut oil for the full skin detoxing experience, we outgrew the name “Dignity Coconuts”.
We are excited to announce we are changing our name to DIGNITY MADE.
“Dignity Made” is a forward-thinking approach to business, where dignity is not an afterthought, but the core from which all decisions and actions are made. The new name communicates a commitment to ethical excellence and integrity, resonating with a global audience seeking to support brands that embody these values.
Our new tagline is “Better for You, Better for All”. Dignity Made products are “Better for You,” the customer, because they are made with quality and care. Years of time and attention were given to ensure our customers get the best. For example, we extract our Raw Coconut Oil with a unique centrifuge method that doesn’t heat the oil like cold-pressed, expeller-pressed and refined coconut oils. As a result, consumers get all of the original micronutrients, 4x more antioxidants and a mild, fresh taste and aroma.
Dignity Made products are “Better for All” because they have a positive impact on the farmers and makers of the products. Since launching, the surrounding community and villages have experienced positive change:
- 158 of our farmer families escaped the vicious cycles of poverty and generational debt through direct trade and fair coconut pricing
- 100+ jobs have been created in a community at-risk of human trafficking
- 2,000+ families are healthier and stronger from community development projects like clean water, medical and dental clinics, and education.
The Future of Dignity Made! Our customers will see a lot of changes as we grow and take on this new name and new look. What’s not changing is our commitment to help our coconut farmers and surrounding community flourish, while offering customers high-quality, sustainable products.
