Major Typhoon Kammuri (aka Tisoy) made a direct hit over our Community Transformation Plant last month with winds clocked at 130 mph. As the most sound structure in the area, we make it available as a safe haven during dangerous storms as part of our emergency plan. We are grateful to report that no one was killed or seriously injured in our immediate area, but hundreds of homes in our surrounding villages were damaged or even washed out to sea.

Because of our deep commitment to our community, we are determined to work with the village and government to help rebuild. We are sending out our engineers, skilled workers, and labor along with power tools and loads of building materials - to team up with the village households. We have repaired 336 damaged homes so far! Plus, we removed destroyed trees, planted 5,000 coconut tree seedlings, and started a village water supply project.

Above photos taken by our staff and community all within the immediate area.
