We are all in this together
Filipinos and Americans. We share ownership. We are committed to profitability for every stakeholder in Dignity - from investors to employees. This is not top-down or bottom-up. This is together.
We want to create wealth in our ownership model. Wealth creation goes beyond mere job creation. It aims for financial stability and independence for stakeholders at every level. And we want to do this together. How?
The majority of our Ownership Shares are held by Filipinos. It's not just legal mumbo jumbo. Dignity was established with 60% of the company held by Filipinos, including two non-profits in the Philippines. All are part owners with Filipinos holding the majority.
We are implementing an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, allowing employees to earn stock in the company (up to 49% eventually). We all create and build Dignity together; we all succeed.
As an added bonus to workers, we will share our profits with our workers. When we work hard together and are in it for the long haul, we can periodically recognize those who have excelled. The profits are not just for a few.
We decide together. No major decisions are made without full and equal participation with both U.S. and Philippine leadership. The majority of our board is Filipino because we share ownership and we are in this together.
WE BELIEVE IN WOMEN AND THEIR ABILITY TO GROW, LEARN AND LEAD.
We emphasize training on women's rights and demand community-wide respect for women and girls. We open job opportunities to women and include women as a majority on our leadership team.
Then there's just that intangible feeling. We'd do anything for each other. Our life to life commitment goes beyond corporate structure. We fly across oceans for weddings and funerals because we live life together. We share more than just ownership, we share life.
WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF INDIGENOUS LEADERSHIP
We identify the most capable, talented and motivated members of the local community to come on board as the leaders and management team. While our model of reproducible management means that some staff will be from a previous plant, we couple that expertise and experience with local knowledge. This leads to opportunity for those who never would have the chance to lead but have every ability to do so. This also means that we will understand our community better because our leadership is deeply involved in it.
Our board is comprised of 6 Filipinos and 1 American. We work together to make sure we represent the local community as well as produce the best product possible.
